This 100-year-old tradition based on the classic book by Kay Thompson continues to delight little girls—as it did me—their moms, and grandmas. The formal tea, complete with finger sandwiches and custom Eloise tableware, is little slice of children’s fantasy land. I can’t get enough of the warm scones with Devonshire double cream. At $50 per child under 12, this is a special-occasion splurge. Make sure to make a reservation, and get there with plenty of time to spare as there may be a wait. But it’s worth it.

Iconic building and very famous thanks to the movie Home Alone . And if hungry the food court has many options and there are also many different stores to visit .

Just walk around the side of the Plaza or ask the doorman at the front for the "Food Hall" and he will instruct you with how to find it...underneath the plaza is a plethora of food stands and little restaurants including Vietnamese, and a wine bar and a Crepes Cafe. If you are exploring lower central park...this is a nice little spot to eat...

It's the plaza that you don't have to worry about quality. The variety of options here is unmatched. It reminded me of the food court at Harrods in London with the same atmosphere of elegance and pace. It's just a fun experience. The different vendors all look so enticing, and it feels kind of like a culinary version of being in 1920's Selfridges
