In this manueline 15th century monastery are buried the explorer and navigator Vasco da Gama and the poet Luis de Camoes. The impressive vaulted ceilings are worth appreciating. (Tram: 15 towards Algés and get off at Jerónimos)

Mosterio dos Jerónimos is a Manueline monastery, monumental testimony of the richness of the Portuguese Discoveries. It is located in Belém, Lisbon, at the entrance of the Tagus river.
