Petroglyph National Monument protects one of the largest petroglyph sites in North America, featuring designs and symbols carved onto volcanic rocks by Native Americans and Spanish settlers 400 to 700 years ago.

If you have never seen petroglyphs before, this place is a worth the trip to the West Side. Really good examples of preserved petroglyphs. Wear a hat and sunscreen and bring plenty of water. Go in the early part of the day before it gets hot.

Maybe a 15 minute drive West of our property, but offers historic significance from Native Americandand early Spanish settlers from over 400 - 700 years ago. This is a gentle walk or hike most. Take water, sunscreen, hat, good walking shoes, and your camera!
