A trip to Annapolis is never complete without a visit to the United States Naval Academy. Guided walking tours are available to the public year round. Highlights include naval hero John Paul Jones’ crypt, Noon Formation, where the midshipmen are seen marching in formation to lunch, and the USNA Museum. Musical and theatrical events abound at the Yard, so check the music department’s calendar of events.

The history of the Naval Academy and the beautiful tour of the waterfront belonging to the academy will put you in a very patriotic mood. It's gorgeous and not to be missed.

The museum is open to the public. Remember your ID for access to the Yard. You can stroll through this museum at your own pace. Free. The museum is located next to the USNA Gift Shop.

The U.S. Naval Academy museum has a fantastic exhibit of dockyard model ships dating back to 17th century. The intricacy will amaze connoisseur and neophyte alike, especially the models made by French prisoners of war from whittled bones of their food!
