This is the starting point of tram 28. It provides an easier method to travel through Alfama but is incredibly popular with tourists and locals alike. During the hours of 10am to 6pm it is often standing room only, and watch out for pickpockets.

It's perhaps Lisbon's most popular activity: A ride back in time, over hills and medieval streets, in vintage trams that are still part of the city's public transportation network. They go past some major attractions.

Definitely touristic, but worth to go and enjoy all the trip from here until Estrela (where there are so many things to see and do).

The tram number 28 is the main public transport unit you want to take because it takes you for a tour in the narrow streets of Lisbon. You can get on it in the city and get off at the famous Castle
