Tahoe Rim to Picnic Rock trail - a moderate hike with 360 view of Lake Tahoe. Bring some food and enjoy a picnic on the rocks at the top of the hike.

Fabulous Views on this moderate hike. Approx 2 miles up with approx 500 ft climb. Approx 10 minute drive to trailhead, but leave early(before 8am on weekends, safe all day during the week, unless it's a holiday week)...not much parking.

Parking is just a 5 minute drive right up Hwy 267. It’s an easy 3 mile loop. It’s about 1.5 up and 1.5 down.

This is a short hike with an outstanding view of Lake Tahoe. Drive on hwy 267 towards Kings Beach. Park on the south side of the road at the large turn out - about .5-1 miles after the summit. Cross the street and look for the Tahoe Rim Trail trailhead. Start hiking and look for the spur trail to Picnic Rock after about 25 minutes of hiking uphill. Enjoy the view and your picnic from up high!
