Vacationers can also enjoy many other outdoor activities on and around Cedar Island such as horseback riding, fishing, hiking, surf fishing, and kite boarding . Ferry to Ocracoke Island 2 miles away. Cape Lookout National Seashore is a short drive.

You have a private entrance and screened-in porch, as well as a shared sundeck. My house is on a ridge & your room is on the 2nd floor, giving you spectacular views of the sound. From the property, you can easily kayak or SUP. Both the beach and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse are only a short drive away. There are also many shops, galleries, and eateries to explore.

The National Park Service maintains the adjacent beach which is part of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This is the only beach in the Carolinas where you can enjoy the warmth and romance of a fire on the beach. Pets are allowed with a $75 pet fee plus tax.
