Welcome to Smith Family Farm! Our fifth-generation owners converted the historic family farmhouse into a charming and functional Minnesota vacation house rental. With sleeping arrangements for 10 guests, modern amenities, and 36 acres of private land, our property offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Relax outside on the deck, swing in a hammock among the trees, or walk through our beautiful cover crop fields. This is a working farm & depending on the season, you are welcome to help collect eggs, chat with the horses, observe the numerous farm animals, or learn about regenerative farming. Natural deep woods within a gully between fields, you’ll find this spot a wonderful sanctuary for wildlife. Follow the few scattered deer trails on the property and explore this natural place.

Hygge House | A Cozy Guesthouse

The Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh) House is a tiny taste of Scandinavia in Southeastern Minnesota. What is Hygge? In short, it's a Scandinavian way of living that focuses on hunkering down and creating a safe, comforting and warm place to while away. My husband and I hand built the Hygge House with your comfort in mind. We love being cozy and having space to spend together so when the opportunity arose to renovate our studio, we wanted to share it!

This cabin sits overlooking a beautiful view of the water where you will see all types of wildlife. The eagles sit in the giant oak trees just off the porch. Walk down to the dock and drop a line in for fishing. .The state bike/snowmobile/hiking trail is within 3 minutes. The boat landing is 1 mile away. You have your own private dock. We also just added a hatchet throwing target We charge a 25.00 per visit pet fee.

Trout Creek Cabin

The cabin sits in a valley on the South Fork of the Root River. Fire pit, hot tub and 2 large patios both with outdoor dining, steps away from the trout stream make this unique property a peaceful, romantic get away. A short drive from the Root River bike trail and Lanesboro making it easy to take advantage of the best historic bluff country has to offer.
