Het is alleen bereikbaar per boot en je waant je er in een oase van rust midden in de natuur. Bootje te huur voor €30 per dag om zelf te kunnen komen en weg gaan naar het eiland. Logeren in het voormalige achttiende-eeuwse zomerhuis van de Bouwerij op landgoed Ridderhofstad Gunterstein aan de Vecht in Breukelen. Het zomerhuisje staat op het erf van een kleinschalig biologisch melkveebedrijf, een boerderij met 70 hectare land grenzend aan de Loosdrechtse plassen, waar onze koeien, veelal oer-Hollandse blaarkoppen, grazen in een eeuwenoud parkachtig cultuurlandschap.
