Welcome to the historic Pumphouse on Lake Superior with 200' of lake front! The Pumphouse is one of Duluth's iconic and historical properties. This home was originally designed by John Wangenstein in 1860 as the water pump house for the City of Duluth but was abandoned. Miss Elisabeth Congdon converted the pumphouse into an absolutely stunning French-style home. Upon your arrival to Buffalo Valley you will receive a warm welcome with an escort to your house by the host, in the beautiful north woods. At check in you will receive a key to the cabin. (Please note that the house capacity is 6 guests, no exceptions. We also have a NO pet policy.) There is a guide book that gives you all the information you will need. You will love how remote you are, yet so close to town. Enjoy the fire pit and sauna in the comforts of the wilderness!

Off Grid cabin, Cozy, warm up by the fire.

A unique, octagon, cedar log cabin, situated on 40 secluded wooded acres. A short hike over the Sucker River on a storybook foot bridge to a generous deck which surrounds the cabin. You will need to be physically fit to stay here. You must climb a steep ladder to the loft and do a 2ft step to get off the deck to the marshy land below for making a fire. Also bring a sense of adventure! Wildlife is very near. We do not allow animals or smoking of any kind, sorry.

Brule River Cabin -Boxcar Hole

****New gazebo on the River*** Brule River Cabin is a two-bedroom plus a loft located right on the famous Brule River. It’s also located on the Box Car Hole, an excellent fishing spot. Canoes are available from Brule River Cabin Rental. The cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and groups of up to 8 people. The cabin features high-speed internet, a washer and dryer, and central heat and AC.
