Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. This unique place has a style all its own. Conveniently located by the Mississippi River and highway 35. The place gives you a cabin feel close to La Crosse! 15 minute drive to downtown La Crosse and 3 miles North of Stoddard puts you in a great central location for the area. Mt. La Crosse is super close to enjoy skiing/snowboarding. Goose Island is 5 minutes away. Great spot for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, boat launches, hiking or frisbee golf. Pets are welcome. Come stay at our cozy and comfortable two bedroom cottage located in a quiet neighborhood with views and access to Lake Onalaska. Walk across the street to hiking/biking trails. Near the Great River State Bike Trail. The Lake Onalaska canoe/kayak trail goes past our shoreline. Two sit on top kayaks and two easy ride bicycles are included. There are fishing boat rentals nearby or you can fish from the shore while enjoying Lake Onalaska's famous sunsets. No cleaning fee!
