Food Scene

If you didn't get asked about Maui Tacos, you will be asked if you dined at Mama's. It is Maui's most famous restaurant and it earned that reputation by serving very, very good food with very, very good service. And they aren't afraid to charge very, very much for the pleasure. Well, not more than other high end places.

Shopping

We always hear people say, "I don't go to Maui to shop". But then we wonder, "if no one wants to shop, why are so many people shopping?" High end stores, local items, restaurants (Ruth's Chris, Longhi's, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Pint & Cork).

It's Costco. It's less expensive than the other grocery options on the island. That doesn't mean it is as low-priced as you might be used to, it's just that it has the lowest Maui prices. There is only one Costco, very near Kahului Airport which is the airport that handles the large aircraft, direct flights from the mainland, etc.
