Bev's grandfather, Steve Bayley, dug clams in Jones Creek and caught lobsters. When there was enough left over to sell, her grandmother, Ella, would cook and sell the lobsters to people through the kitchen window.
He established Bayley’s Lobster Pound shortly thereafter.
In 2012, Bev's niece, Susan, turned the Pound's bait cooler into a bar and added tables for a restaurant on the dock overlooking the Scarborough River.
