Hekluhestar cottage at the farm

Take it easy in this tranquil accommodation in our farm, with a peaceful view ! The cottage can welcome up to 6 people, although 4 is the most comfortable. Nicely located, it is about one hour by car from Reykjavik, from the Golden circle and from Vík's black sand beaches. It is 15min away from Hella's bus station, which allows you to visit Lanmannalaugar. The farm has animals roaming around, and also offers riding tours. Its owners are always happy to share a lovely riding experience !

Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. Our newly renovated cottage is in the centre of the golden circle overlooking the Tungufljót river. There are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers from the house. The house is a perfect base from which to explore the fantastic sights the golden circle and the surrounding area has to offer. All the main attractions such as Geysir (less than 10 mins drive), Gullfoss (under 20 min) and Thingvellir (about 40 min) are easy to get to from the cottage.

We would like to welcome you to our cozy little cabin. It will give you the perfect opportunity to relax in a romantic and peaceful atmosphere. It is ideal for 1 or 2 persons and the highlight of the stay will most likely be the outside geothermal shower with a mountain view. During the darkest months, can you imagine to take a shower under the Northern lights? Well that is possible! This cabin is not suitable for children and infants.
