Only a half-mile from Cataract Lake, quick and easy access to boating, fishing, kayaking, etc. awaits! Numerous nearby attractions are sure to provide great experiences (Cataract Falls, Exotic Feline Rescue Center, Terre Haute Casino, state parks, brewery/winery, local shops/eateries, etc.) And of course, simply enjoying time in and around the cabin itself is a fulfilling getaway!

Pioneer Log Cabin on the Lake

Take a step back in time to a simpler way of life! Enjoy this log cabin that was originally built in the pioneer days. While the cabin retains the charm of the 1800's, it also has been updated with basic amenities like electricity, indoor plumbing, hot water, and everything you would expect from a modern cabin. Located on Cataract Lake, yards from a public boat launch, this is the perfect spot to get out onto the lake or just relax amongst the trees. Boat parking is provided on the property.

Parkside Suite at Cataract Falls Lodge

Welcome to the Cataract Falls Lodge at the entrance to the state recreation area. A one minute walk from the lodge into the park and you will be standing at the overlook of the most spectacular waterfall in the Midwest. The lodge itself is broken up into three units, each with its own measure of elegance. This unit, Parkside, offers two rooms, 1 bedroom and 1 great room with attached kitchenette. Inquire about renting the entire lodge for a family gathering, and enjoy the park.

Relax in our quaint guesthouse. Have access to our beautiful farm and spacious barn. You will be staying on a working farm/vineyard. Walk in the woods back to the river or explore the orchard. Set up on the patio of the barn to watch the abundant wildlife or have a fire in the firepit. You can hang out in the barn, play games, or just relax. Things change here often as we are still building the winery, so come see what is new. Also visit the chickens, ducks , and turkeys.

The beautiful remote cabin sits on 4 acres and is surrounded by mature trees and two glistening ponds. Enjoy your day exploring the nearby Cataract Falls and spend your evening around a bonfire. Monroe County has 2 wineries & 3 lakes. We are 8 mi to Mccormick's Creek park, 5 mi to Monroe County fairgrounds, 4 mi to West side shopping and restaurants, 7 mi to Memorial Stadium, 8 mi to College mall, 19 mi to Fairfax beach, and 21 mi scenic drive to Nashville, IN.
