Our cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends who want a peaceful base to explore glorious Argyll. This is a truly magical place, with incredible sea views, and a large garden that leads straight on to the shore. It's also a great base for exploring the isle of Bute, the "secret Argyll Coast", and the Arrochar Alps. After a big day out, you can come back and relax in front of the log burner. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

The cottage was built around 1890 to house the Ploughman for Goatfield Farm, and has been extensively remodelled to create a unique getaway. Dunans Cottage is situated in the beautiful Knapdale Forest 1.9 miles from Cairnbaan within a National Scenic Area. The views are fantastic! The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.
