The colour and the life are mine: I made it modern and happy, yellow with sky blue windows, every room its own colour. A friend painted her in the garage, a faceless silhouette ringed by the tree she planted and the yellow-bellied bird it draws. The garden fills with the birds she loved, the koel she would call to until it called back.
