Beautiful sunny spots to hide away with a book, over 200 acres of undulating land as well as some bush land, a swimming dam, an outdoor fire pit for the cooler months and an indoor fire place to snuggle up by in the evenings. Home Farm Cabin is a comfortable retreat that has been constructed from timber milled on the property. There are sweeping valley views of native bushland. It is situated on a small farm with cattle and sheep. Guests enjoy sightings of kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, kookaburras & native birds. Local activities include trout fishing, hiking, kayaking, mushrooming, truffle hunts, Waldara weddings, Kanangra Walls, Mayfield Garden, Jenolan. High ceilings, original timber floors and wrap around verandahs, in winter you can keep cosy and warm by the fire or enjoy a fire pit outside, and in the evening gaze up at the stars as clear as you’ll see them! In summer you can take a 5 minute drive to Abercrombie river for a swim. A separate 1 x bedroom cottage plus lounge room with sofa bed is available (separate booking Shearers Cottage) plus camping for larger bookings.

Enjoy some of regional New South Wales's finest seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers and vendors at the award winning Argyle Inn @theargyleinn, Grand Ettie @grandettie and Laggan pantry @lagganpantry. Taralga is a small village in the Southern Tablelands and has a rich history of fine wool, prime lambs and beef, lush berries, quality wine and heritage buildings.
