An 1840's stone built One bed cottage in the heart of Derwent Valley - the charming market town of Belper, tastefully decorated to a high standard throughout. Centrally located to the bustling high street, with an array of friendly independent shops, from artisan bakeries, cafés & bars. Not only a fantastic high street, Belper has some excellent walks around the beautiful countryside, wander through Riverside meadows & amble along quiet lanes & be sure to be rewarded with some spectacular views.

The Tower

The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. Stone Rise Cottage was built in 1874 and has been renovated to its characterful feel today. Entering through the stable-front door, is a traditional kitchen with all the necessities. Beyond this is the lounge with log burner, beams and doors to the stone terrace. There’s also a quaint dining room for evening meals. Upstairs is a modern, renovated bathroom with bath and traditional shower. There are two double bedrooms, both with an elegant feel and a double wardrobe in the second.
