Balboa Park is a 1,200-acre historic urban cultural park in San Diego. In addition to open space areas, natural vegetation zones, green belts, gardens, and walking paths, it contains museums, several theaters, and the San Diego Zoo.

A must see place in San Diego with many museums, restaurants and the Japanese Friendship Garden. Balboa park is also right next to the famous San Diego Zoo. Both are only a 10 minute car ride.

Balboa Park is a great park to visit for a day. There is a free shuttle which picks up around the park perimeter, so you can park outside and avoid the crowds on busy days. There is much to see and do there, including museums, fountains, flowers, and the famous San Diego Zoo.
