Hikes
The Martis Creek trail is a 4 mile loop that is friendly for the whole family as it is flat and a gravel trail. There is a small parking lot for the trail off of the 267 or you can access it from Northstar’s trail system.

The Martis Creek trail is a 4 mile loop that is friendly for the whole family as it is flat and a gravel trail. There is a small parking lot for the trail off of the 267 or you can access it from Northstar’s trail system.
2.5 mile out and back trail (5 mile total) that goes from the Tunnel Creek Cafe to Sand Harbor beach. It is a paved trail and great for strollers, walkers, runners, dogs and bikes (so everyone!). This is a new trail with stunning views as you are next to the lake the majority of the time. There is a free parking lot next to the Tunnel Creek Cafe with free parking, get there early as it fills up fast.

1924 Tahoe Blvd2.5 mile out and back trail (5 mile total) that goes from the Tunnel Creek Cafe to Sand Harbor beach. It is a paved trail and great for strollers, walkers, runners, dogs and bikes (so everyone!). This is a new trail with stunning views as you are next to the lake the majority of the time. There is a free parking lot next to the Tunnel Creek Cafe with free parking, get there early as it fills up fast.
This is a 3.4 mile out and back hike with stunning views at the top. Moderate incline on the hike. Parking is located off the 267 with a small lot of the right side of the road (when headed towards Kong’s Beach).

Brockway Summit Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead
Tahoe Rim TrailThis is a 3.4 mile out and back hike with stunning views at the top. Moderate incline on the hike. Parking is located off the 267 with a small lot of the right side of the road (when headed towards Kong’s Beach).
2.1 mile hike in Northstar’s mountains. Take the gondola to the trailhead or walk under the gondola to the trail. Make a left from the Gondola exit and the trail begins to the left of the Arrow chair. Easy/moderate trail out to Sawmill lake and back with minimal elevation change. There is a picnic bench and multiple large rocks to enjoy lunch, a snack or some relaxation on.
Sawmill Lake
2.1 mile hike in Northstar’s mountains. Take the gondola to the trailhead or walk under the gondola to the trail. Make a left from the Gondola exit and the trail begins to the left of the Arrow chair. Easy/moderate trail out to Sawmill lake and back with minimal elevation change. There is a picnic bench and multiple large rocks to enjoy lunch, a snack or some relaxation on.
