Galway's legendary walking tour !
The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. Other things to note Dont worry about it raining - we have plenty of places to hide out of the rain !
The Irish Wolfhounds
We have two pure bred Irish Wolfhounds. They are an ancient breed of Irish dog, and the largest dog in the world! You can meet up with Aidan at Bertra Beach, outside Westport where Aidan will introduce you to Spéir & Mairtín. You can greet and cuddle the dogs. Learn how they like to be petted and scratched and watch them run and play. Aidan will tell stories of the Legends of Cuchulain & his wolfhounds, from Irish mythology. And explain why lords & kings liked to have wolfhounds around them. Aidan can answer any questions about their care, eating habits, personalities, or any aspect of the dogs. At the end of the experience you can take photos of the dogs or Aidan will take photos while you hold the dogs by yourselves. By that time you can have made two wolfhound friends :)

Aran Island Bike Tour with Tea/Scones - Day Trip from Doolin
Join me and my team of guides on one of the most beautiful and stress-free day trips to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands! Meeting at Doolin Pier, we board a modern ferry for our 20-minute journey to Inisheer. En route, we often see the dolphins that love to swim beside the ferry. The island is like a time machine. As soon as you step foot on Inisheer, you will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken everywhere. You will experience Irish traditions that have been lost on the mainland. We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles. After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets! Afterward, you will have some free time. Some like to use their free time on the sandy beach, in the pub, or at the playground (if you have kids, they will love this playground - lots to do). If you like, you could simply bike around the island some more!
